Shopping in Shirlington

I was in Shirlington last week getting my hair done at Illusions of Shirlington, and decided to wander around a bit afterwards. There are a ton of cool shops and restaurants there! My husband and I have been getting our hair done there for 10+ years and love it – ask for Noel! She is fabulous. Next I popped into a store called Le Village Marche. A beautiful store that was recently merged together from two smaller stores.

Here you will find gorgeous papers, cards and stationary, books, gifts and pretty glasses and other accessories for the kitchen and home.

Next stop: Ah Love Oil & Vinegar. Here you can taste and buy oils and vinegars from small batch producers from around the world. The balsamics are so good that you can just drizzle that on salad and it tastes great!They also have a beautiful selection of wood platters and bowls.

I could not miss a stop at Best Buns Bread Company. Check out their Monkey Bread and carrot bunt cake or cup cakes!

These are just a handful of the wonderful stores, shoppes, restaurants and boutiques offered here in Shirlington. Jen and Anne were so much fun to work with. My living room and office/exercise area really needed a refresh. Trying to figure out what to do was completely overwhelming for me until Jen and Anne were recommended. They really listened to what I was aiming to accomplish and provided thoughtful suggestions and new ideas that I NEVER would have thought of. As I result, I now have improved lighting, carpets, furniture, accent pieces and, best of all, a fantastic gallery wall that I can add to and/or rearrange. Jen and Anne were amazing! They listened well to get a good understanding of my needs and style and then came up with great ideas and designs. Their use of Pinterest boards made is super easy to exchange ideas. Jen would also text me photos if she happened to be at a store and saw something I may like/need. They are very thoughtful and professional and deliver as expected. I highly recommend.

They provided fresh and innovative ideas where I had no clue, helped guide me where I already had views, and were great sounding boards where I was unsure (and they often would bounce ideas off of one other, resulting in a great final product).
