It’s been years since I had a powder room, so I couldn’t resist putting my own spin on things this year. I’m having a green moment for sure — I think it comes from spending so much time in nature during the pandemic and really cherishing outdoor space. Here, the jumping off point is this stunning Mulberry Tree wallpaper from Thibaut that makes the room.

Originally, I thought that we’d be able to use the existing floor tile, but alas, you’ll see from the pictures that the tile didn’t run under the old vanity, so we had to quickly pivot and find this beautiful marble mosaic tile, and I’m happy with the result — the classic coloring in a gorgeous design really freshens up the room.

Here are a few “before” and “process” pictures I took during the renovation. You can see the existing floor tile, and the relics that we uncovered as we peeled away the layers.
