I saw this book at the library recently and grabbed it bc I’m a big fan of this couple.  They have seven kids (!) and have developed a funky design style over the years, culminating in a show on HGTV. 

The reason this book enticed me is that it is organized into projects, with lots of before/after pics.  They talk about important things like existing furniture, structural elements, budget, and all the other things that matter when you are putting together a room.  Plus, they’ve sprinkled in lots of “mini-tutorials” for things such as changing out seat pad fabric and selecting light fixtures.

I’d recommend this for anyone looking for inspiration to jumpstart a project!
