Daniel Siegel has written a book that helps both adolescents and their parents/ teachers/coaches better understand how the teenage brain works and changes. He helps to empower people to harness the power, energy and creativity of this period in a child’s life to better traverse relationships with themselves and others. It’s fascinating and enjoyable to read. Take away from this book is that adolescents have at times gotten a bad rap – and Dr. Siegel instead argues that this time in life is extraordinarily creative, social and energized and offers ways to embrace this and use the potential to better our lives and relationships.
