One of our favorite clients asked us to help her bring an idea to fruition. She has a beautiful view into her backyard from her kitchen, and the large sliding glass door + extra window really adds lots of natural light to her room. However, she’d like to control some of the light coming into the kitchen at certain times of day. We worked together and ultimately decided we should treat all the glass as “one window”, regardless of the different heights and widths. It would provide the best cohesive look.
We bought some basic grommet white Ikea panels and customized them with some funky chocolate/dotted material as a colorblock design. We used the adjacent chocolate brown feature wall as our inspiration.
