Our clients did a renovation several years ago and have a large kitchen and adjacent dining area, flooded with natural light, with additional recessed lighting in the ceiling. They asked for help in choosing a modern fixture to define the dining space. We also advised them to add a custom FLOR rug (as reader of this blog know that we are fans of the product!) to make the space seem cozy.
These were simple changes, but have quite the visual impact.
We first installed the fixture, from West Elm.
The best thing about the fixture is that it is a artistic feature in the room, whether it’s turned on or not!
The next thing we did was to scoot the table over and play around with some FLOR tiles. You lay this particular pattern in a random design and it looks like an overdyed antique rug. Perfect for the style of these homeowners!
We are in love with the results in this room!
