This basement needed some color! The builder-grade paint from the renovation (more than a decade ago) was looking tired and bland. The walls were a mess! And white! We had slowly turned the downstairs into a teen hangout/tv/video game room. It is small and tucked into the interior of the house – without much natural light. And yet I knew that a dark color was what I wanted. I chose Down Pour Blue by Benjamin Moore 2063-20. It’s a nice dark blue, and bright enough to show off a hint of actual color so that it doesn’t appear toodark. I wanted the wall darker behind the TV to make it blend into the background rather than pop out from it. It worked! We all love the color and even the teens friends think it looks and feels like a home theater. I’ll take that as a success.
The below pictures show the walls in their original state. They are getting attention next!
