My sister-in-law and brother-in-law have a beautiful house in Alexandria and have done a fabulous job of decorating it with a mid-century modern flair. Here is the front door :: the door color is Daredevil by Benjamin Moore and the address numbers are from Design Within Reach.

They grabbed her uncle’s furniture when he moved out of his house in upstate New York – so they have real retro shelves and a hutch for the kitchen.

Here are a few more touches they added to the house :: a sputnik chandelier and gorgeous blue walls in the living room.
