I took a spin through West Elm last week with a goal :: zero in on three versatile pieces of furniture that can used in spaces both big and small. It was fun. I found a coffee table, a side table/nightstand, and a secretary desk.
- The coffee table was generous in size to provide lots of surface area and I loved its unique base. The mother of pearl detail on the top of the table will go with many different styles of upholstery or leather. Plus, the round size makes it easier to maneuver around — no more banging your shin on the corner of the coffee table!
- The side table has a marble top and a neutral wood tone base. It offers a bit of storage for books and magazines and it’s not chunky or blocky like some side tables tend to be. The height works great to relate to the arm of a standard sofa, which is an important consideration.
- That secretary! So fun! Looks great both opened and closed. You can perch a lamp or framed photos on the top. It makes you want to pull up a chair and write a letter to your favorite person:)
