We thought it might be fun to show how easy it is to transform with spray paint. We found this set of plastic butterflies at Target. They are cool because they have a three-dimensional element to them and we wanted to use them in a girls’ room. However, black is not in the color palette. We found spray paint that adheres to plastic and painted some of the butterflies turquoise and some white.
We liked this sleek Parsons-style console table, but not the blonde wood. We had some leftover Oil-Rubbed Bronze spray paint and gave it a try. The “after” shot shows just one coat on ( a dramatic change ), and we needed one more coat to seal the deal!
Speaking of blonde wood, we scored these mid-century modern tables at a local shop for $50 for the pair. We stored them for a few months until we found just the right home for them. We used a charcoal grey paint for the table, and added silver to the old brassy leg tips. Such a change!
