Last week I decided to check out a new local store called The Front Porch. It is located at 920 Broad Street in Falls Church. It’s owned by Joni Foerter – and she gets lots of help from her husband. They have been open about one month. The Front Porch offers solid expensive furniture that’s been rescued and recycled. Joni find pieces of forgotten furniture from estate sales, garage sales and sometimes, the sidewalk! She refurbishes them – sanding and tightening and then adds a gorgeous layer of chalk paint by VanGough.
