Jen and Anne were so much fun to work with. My living room and office/exercise area really needed a refresh. Trying to figure out what to do was completely overwhelming for me until Jen and Anne were recommended. They really listened to what I was aiming to accomplish and provided thoughtful suggestions and new ideas that I NEVER would have thought of. As I result, I now have improved lighting, carpets, furniture, accent pieces and, best of all, a fantastic gallery wall that I can add to and/or rearrange. I’m so comfortable and happy in my improved spaces. Jen and Anne are the best!

Jen and Anne are awesome! We moved at the start of the year and I needed help furnishing and decorating most of the rooms in our new, larger home. They had great ideas and helped with everything from designing our elegant and stunning dining room from scratch, making our master suite into a functional and cozy room that we love, helping to figure out what to do with our “sitting room” (and furnishing it), putting the finishing touches on our family room to make it more cohesive, making our daughter’s play room more organized and fun, helping to design and organize my home office (most of that done remotely!), and filling out all of our halls and nooks. They also designed and put together two gorgeous family photo walls for us that enabled us to display the pictures we love in a beautiful and special way without having to have the clutter of picture frames everywhere. They provided fresh and innovative ideas where I had no clue, helped guide me where I already had views, and were great sounding boards where I was unsure (and they often would bounce ideas off of one other, resulting in a great final product). They were never pushy or judgmental but were always honest and supportive with their views. They were always enthusiastic and clearly love what they do. They were ready to do anything from offer little tips to go pick out and buy everything for me (and everything in between). They introduced me to numerous new places to buy furniture, art, and home decor and helped me find great deals as well. They were very flexible and accommodating, and even during the early days of the pandemic, they found ways to provide advice and assistance remotely (and then later with proper social distancing and masks). I would highly recommend Jen and Anne for any and all home decorating and designing jobs you have!

I needed help with organization in my mud room/laundry room, as well as ideas on transforming our loft/playroom area. Jen and Anne were amazing! They listened well to get a good understanding of my needs and style and then came up with great ideas and designs. Their use of Pinterest boards made is super easy to exchange ideas. Jen would also text me photos if she happened to be at a store and saw something I may like/need. They are very thoughtful and professional and deliver as expected. I highly recommend.

My house needed a face lift! The colors and furniture were dull and tired looking. The paint was pleading for a new color and the light fixtures were on their last legs. Luckily, Ann and Jen came to the rescue and re-vitalized this house! Their design knowledge combined with their access to many competent professionals made the job so easy! Ann and Jen were super easy to work with and always wore masks. We have 8 beautiful new light fixtures, custom kitchen curtains, a new “Crushed Ice” paint on the walls, new teal patterned FLOR carpeting & new living room furniture to go with the couch we already had. Then, the outside got a new deeper blue paint color, new exterior door,and the fence painted in the back yard. I have lived here since 1987 & I have never been this thrilled with my home. They were conscious of the budget. I highly recommend Ann & Jen of 1970 Dogwood Street!

Jen and Anne have great ideas and are fun to work with. They made suggestions for design, lighting, furnishings and storage that have made my living space more comfortable and functional. I would never have been able to accomplish any of this without them. And all this happened during COVID! They’re the best!

Anne and Jen are the best! They helped us plan and decorate several rooms in our home, and we could not be more pleased with the results. Jen and Anne helped me “refresh” our kitchen/family room space. I am thrilled with the results and highly recommend them. They are easy to work with, bring lots of energy, and are eager to ensure that you’re happy with the results. Although I believe I’m pretty good at decorating, I was stymied by paint colors and some basic design elements. Jen and Anne guided me without me losing my vision of what I was looking for. They introduced me to new products, e.g. Flor carpet tiles for a kitchen runner, that I would not have considered on my own. On balance, the price of hiring them saved money in terms of avoiding mistakes. Most importantly, their expertise help produce a space that makes me happy and looks fantastic.

Jen and Anne have not only transformed our living space, they did so in a thoughtful way that established family harmony with every stage of the planning. They took on the major project of turning our basement from a baby playroom to a teenage hang out haven. They created a special unique area for each of our kids, and got us all invested in the project from the start. They organized a massive (!) de-clutter effort. They managed the removal of truck loads of goods and carpeting the entire floor. They designed the coolest sewing studio with perfect furniture, peg boards, etc. We have now increased our home’s square footage by 1/3 thanks to their creativity and hard work. They handle every little detail from start to finish in an extremely professional way. It was as if little angels had come in while we were at work/school and performed sheer magic. We are eternally grateful for all the heavy lifting and light touches that made this space possible.

Ladies, you rocked my world. So much done and out of my hands that I don’t need to worry about anymore!

Two hours of Jen and Anne in my house, and I swear it’s like a different place! They bring coffee, chat about books, music and movies, and before you know it, transformation has occurred! They have done more for my mental health than years of therapy ever could. Even though I know they have multiple clients, they make me feel like they are always looking out for me and that I am, if not their number one client, at least in the top five. They are not pushy or judgmental about your mess, but make such good suggestions that it’s almost impossible not to follow them. I think they have hypnotic powers!

Can’t say enough good things about 1970 Dogwood Street. They can handle everything from the daunting job of helping with a move, to advice on paint colors for a bathroom remodel…and they don’t make you feel like it’s trivial. Need new curtain rods hung in old plaster walls that you are afraid to hammer into? They’ve got someone who can help. They are trustworthy, honest, and fair, and are up for any challenge you throw their way.

Jen and Anne are our “go-to” dynamic duo for any house design conundrum, from designing a bathroom, and organizing layouts, to picking fixtures, rugs or paint colors. They bring an easy-going and no-fuss approach to their work, and have always been responsive, encouraging and helpful. We’ve had the pleasure of working with them over the course of about ten years, and have been happy to refer them to other people in our family. We’d highly recommend 1970 Dogwood Street!

I love the way my more open house flows now with the colors and light and ‘things’ that have meaning to us and our life. The kitchen is more fun, all the rooms reflect us, who we are, and what we love. The family photos wall montage is fantastic and, since you can make that grow, I have to pull out the bins of pictures and get making more selections. Oh yes! We will have more work to do, ladies, so rest up!

You have done such a brilliant job with such a small budget, well, I just could not be happier. Who knew just changing the inexpensive window panels could change a look? Or painting a curtain rod for a couple bucks could completely change the way a room looks? Or spending $20 on replacement knobs for a piece of furniture I was ready to burn could make it more loveable and updated again? A $20 lampshade, well, they are just lovely and fun.
